Well, I say you cant! Nabi SAW was offered leadership(government), wealth and beautiful women to stop his nobel job (Da'wah)....
*To be clear with you all, muslims' job is dakwah. You can do any job you want, doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher. Those are just the necessities of life. That's not the purpose of your life....Further explanations, later when I feel like I want to and you want me to, however, that's not the main point that I want to discuss with you....
Okay, lets go back to the main topic...After the kuffars declared the offer to Prophet SAW, what did Nabi SAW said?...Oh well i'll take the offer...its a brilliant offer..none can resist....NOT!!! if only Nabi SAW had the same way of thinking like us then he would say that....
With the yakin of his true purpose to this world as a Prophet who brought prophecy of saving the entire mankind for not be falling to this deceptive dunia, Nabi SAW answered back, "If, you can put the sun on the palm of my right hand and the moon on the other left palm(which you will never ever be able to), I shall never leave the work of dakwah....”
My dear respected brothers and sisters, Abu Bakar RA who was the first man and the second muslim to accept Islam, asked Nabi SAW the day he embraced Islam, understood the needs of Islam made him think such way, and a million dollar question came out of his mouth asking "What is my work?" Then Nabi SAW answered "My work is your work"...Because of this understanding, he became the greatest student of the greatest teacher Muhammad SAW.
Now we come to our main concern of the topic, one of my friend said to me last week, “hopefully the Ikhwan Muslimin will take over the leadership in Egypt so Islam can be propagated fighting fit in the land of Musa AS”. I replied, “I don’t mean to insult your thoughtful opinion, but let us not be deceived by the Devil who uses these elements of leadership to mess up with the correct faith that all Muslims should have the government not ALLAH. Leadership cannot promise the ideology of Islam to be wide spread”. I gave the reason based on the first paragraph of this entry.
My respected brothers and sisters in Islam, Imam Malik rah said that this ummat (who fall into false beliefs and practice) cannot be corrected unless we come out with the same solution or way the previous generation ( the ummat during the era of Jahilliyyah) being corrected . And here we are, standing with pride and saying that my way is better....Islamic constitution should be implemented trough government even though the path to make it recognized is clearly depart from the way of our Prophet SAW has shown. Who are you comparing your way is much better than the previous scholars???
Government cannot do, wealth cannot do, nothing can do without the permission of ALLAH....We are anxious to see a country with Islamic foundation (as what I really desired the most ) as the image of previous celebrated first Islamic country Madinah (During the leadership of Prophet SAW) but forget the sacrifice of our Nabi SAW with his companions r.hum who took oppressions upon oppressions, went on years and years of hunger, bodies of syahid, blood came out as the rushing tears of hidayat bestowed upon the true followers of the true teaching of Prophet SAW. Now you want to claim an Islamic country? Look inside you....Does your iman, all muslims’ iman are like the sahabah r.hum? Believe me, no way we can bulid an Islamic country until we all join forces in correcting our iman first. We don’t want to take a fast track to the success, because the part to success is always challenging and no such thing as short cut.
The history of Afghanistan, who previously used force as to implement a perfect Islamic Constitution had fallen apart......The Tukrs, Baghdad, and others, are the proves that building iman is muslims’ major concern before building an Islamic country.
May ALLAH give hidayat to all mankind...
