Are we qualified enough to give da`wah to the non-muslims?

Sometimes we are wondering, is da`wah only meant for the non-muslims only? Here, i quote an explanation from my fellow muslim brother Mr.Kama (19.01.2010

It is also important to note, that whilst it is important to convert non-Muslims to Muslims, it is far far MORE important that they become Muslims for the Right reasons, and not become Murtad after they professed the Syahadah.

In my experience, there are some new converts became Murtad again, simply because the Muslims were unable to give proper support and guidance. And as you know MURTAD is a MAJOR SIN.

As I said before, if hundreds of Muslims come to Islam tomorrow, would you be able to give up your job, your life and dedicate all of your life to teach these Hundreds of Muslims. Can you do it on your own ? Can you do it when the Muslims themselves are not prepared to spend time in the path of Allah ?

Please be intelligent my friend. You are a person with high qualification, a valuable gift from Allah, Alhamdulillah. Please use your head. You are indeed a learned man.

I am Surgeon. I learn to prioritise the need of the patient. I cannot do life saving surgery unless the patient is adequately resuscitated. I must make sure that the patient have adequate Airways, Breathing and Circulation FIRST, before embarking on surgery, or less the patient will die regardless.

Likewise, the Muslims now is in critical state. They are leaving Ad-deen and breaking the commandments of Allah on a daily basis. They are SEVERELY in need of Resuscitation. One must make sure that the Muslims Iman/faith is revived before you could anything further.

How can one give money when one is poor ? How can a Muslim teach Iman to another human, when he himself doesn’t have iman ?

This is a Strategy, my friend. First thing is first. We have to learn to crawl before we can walk. A learned person like you should understand this. It is not a question of whether the Tablighi Jamaat doesn’t want to approach the non-Muslims. We will, insyaAllah , when the time comes. Remember Fitnah is everywhere. Even Allah tested the prophet with Fitnah (The Story of Aisyah) that almost destroyed the Muslims at that time.

So, Fear Allah my friend.

Tabligh is not a Jamaat. It is an effort. An effort to understand our responsibility to ourselves, and the ummat. We need everybody. We cant work in isolation. We are not inviting people towards ourselves, but we are inviting people and ourselves towards Allah.

May Allah s.w.t. accept our sacrifice, despite coming from sinful people like us.

It is not that the priority of giving da`wah only meant for the muslims, in fact Nabi SAW used to performed two kinds of da`wah which were, the da`wah for the non-muslims, like what Nabi SAW had done to Muawiyyah ABu Suffiyan r.a before he converted to islam. Nabi SAW said Kulu Laa ilaha illALLAH tuf lihu. Say La ilaha illALLAH and you`ll gain success. The second da'wah was to the Sahabah r.hum ( Whom their iman and amal are the best of all Prophet`s SAW ummah) to renew their iman. Nabi SAW said, Jaddidu Imanakum, akthiru min kauli La ilaha illALLAH. Renew your iman by saying No God worthy of worship but ALLAH.

And ALLAH and HIS Rasul SAW know the best.
